We updated the Book content type to maintain its functionality in GovHub. With this update, Book Pages are now the only content type that can be added to a Book. Existing Books that have different content types as pages (Topic Page, HDI, etc.) will remain in place, but pagination will not show on those pages.

We also added metadata to the printer-friendly version of Book Pages so that search engines crawlers will skip those versions. Printer-friendly versions will no longer show in search results and will no longer cause duplicate content penalties.
