Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Enrollment

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Enrollment

Multi-Factor Authentication is now required when logging into GovHub. These additional security measures have been adopted to protect you and your account information.

How to Enroll in MFA

You may have received an invitation to enroll in MFA or you may be logging in for the first time after January 17, 2023. To enroll in MFA, follow these steps:

  1. On your computer, navigate to the login page for your site (e..g. https://SITENAME.georgia.gov/user).

  2. You will then be prompted to secure your account. Scan the QR Code shown on the screen with your mobile device, using your preferred authenticator app. If you don’t already have an authenticator app on your mobile device, you can install Okta Verify, Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, or any other authenticator app.
Do not use your device’s camera app to scan the QR code.

  3. Enter the one-time code from your authenticator app in the field below the QR Code on your computer.

  4. Click the Continue button.

  5. You will then be directed to the “Almost There” screen where you will be instructed to copy the recovery code provided and save/store it somewhere safe. This is a permanent code which you can use in the event you need to log into the system without your device.

  6. Check the box “I have safely recorded this code”.

  7. Click the Continue button.

  8. You will then see a message that states, “You’re All Set!”.
