Bullet Points vs. Numbered Lists
Bullet Points vs. Numbered Lists
Does it matter when we want to highlight certain points on a web page if we use bullet points versus a numbered list? Here are a few things to keep in mind, based on what your readers will appreciate the most.
Use bullet points to summarize short lists that all have equal importance. Capitalization and punctuation are personal choices unless the bullets are presented as full sentences. If you’re going to use a sentence, all of the regular grammar rules apply.
Use numbered lists when you have to show a sequence, priority, chronology, or want to reference an item quickly when giving a talk to an audience.
